It is truly a strange thing when a steam pipe bursts under an abandoned building in the dead of winter, but that’s exactly what happened under the Clinic Building at Greystone Park State Hospital in 2007, a month before the building was unceremoniously knocked down.  The steam congregated near the ceiling of the abandoned asylum infirmary, condensing on the pipes and dripping down in regular patterns - and creating these ice stalagmites.  An hour after taking this photograph, demolition workers came into the building and chased us through the tunnels; we had to hide in an attic in 0 degree weather for hours while cops searched for us.  The next time I drove out there, there was no trace that a building had ever stood in this spot.

You are THE HOMESTUCK FANDOM, and you won’t judge the other fandoms for judging you. You agree with them, really. You should just disappear. That would be better for everyone.

You are the HOMESTUCK FANDOM. These past few months, you’ve made a lot of friends, and regardless of what everyone else thinks, you decide to hold on to the faint possibility that people might be able to like you along with everyone else.

It’s back Homestucks.

“Harry Potter is symmetrical.”

Not just symmetrical - this is ring composition, favoured by Homer and other good writers. The 4th book is at the centre of the ring.
JK Rowling knows her beans.

Reblogging because I like that phrase a lot.

i love everything about this post

I love how dementors are synonymous to Umbridge. I agree with this completely.

This… is really amazing. I-… wow.

The technical term for this is a chiasm.  Props to JK for using a great old storytelling technique.
